Noise of Belief........

today i was reading about noise pollution...a childish and common topic yet an important and a social issue..
as i read..it is the least sustainable type of pollution..as it doesn't remain in the atmosphere..but is that enough reason to overlook it??
according to PA system(public address system)..no one is allowed to go beyond standard obligatory limits of noise pollution after 10pm in night...
but we can always see नवरात्री celebrations,जागरण,रामायण पाठ etc being carried on now and then..
it effects the studies of students and leaves our ears paining throughout the day and night..throughout our work and sleep..don't we know??
no, i am not against the rituals..neither i am atheist..
but whats the need of pomp and show..one can pray to the almighty without being noisy..isn't it?
rather its debatable that worship is done for the peace of our mind..and we have made it a business of sound to objectionable form..
and one more thing that annoys me is that people make immediate issue of such things when forbidden..its the outcome of the obvious politics on religion..that even our Government can't check..
what's even more funny is that..the place meant for the set up of legislative measures for noise pollutions..the rights and the duties..well..the parliament..it is the mostly struck place with noise pollution..our leaders are themselves not so aware of being the noise pollutants...
but we as a responsible citizen should not only check our behavior but also not to indulge in such politics..
don't the elders raise their eyebrows at youngsters listening to music or TV loudly as noise pollutants..who themselves participate in the noisy rituals..
we all should check ourselves and prepare a generation with civic sense..
its better to check our duties than to fight for others rights..
i just want to appeal it to all..be it for belief or for fun..don't allow noise pollution..

  1. yeah.. but this is the irony of life.. right now being a student and a youngster we might feel elders misuse their powers.. but may be when we grow up to that age, even we might behave the same way! you never know!
we cant control the actions of others. all we can do is to control OUR actions. using headphones, speaking softly are just a few measures.
